Flossing Checklist

Flossing is perhaps the most overlooked part of your daily homecare routine. For some reason, most people will stay diligent with their brushing but never unwind their spool of floss to get in between teeth and beneath the gums.  Lack of flossing is one of the biggest causes of gum disease.

Mouth Wash

Despite what you may think, mouth wash does more than just freshen your breath. Bacteria fighting mouth was can reduce bacteria caused by dental plaque and can even prevent gum disease. Some mouth wash contain fluoride which combat tooth decay.

Some products contain alcohol which should not be used by children under the age of 6 because they can swallow the rinse.  However, there are some mouth washes that do not contain alcohol that some dentists say are more effective than the alcohol rich versions. We recommend this tooth & gum tonic.
